Coach George "Pup" Williams has earned thirty-three (33) NCAA Division II Track Championships, produced nine Olympians including 2008 Bronze medalist Bershawn Jackson, and served as head coach of the 2004 gold medal-winning United States Olympic Men's Track and Field Team.

A Winter Haven, Fla., native, Barbara Pierre was a six-time NCAA Division II champion
and 11-time All-American at Saint Augustine's College from 2007-2010. She holds
the NCAA Division II Championship record in the 60 meter dash and shares the collegiate
record in the 100 meter dash.

Panthers, went on to win the NCAA D-II Men's Basketball National Championship.

Virginia Union takes home their first NCAA D-II Men's Basketball Championship
in 1980; the first championship under Robbins' tutelage.

1967       Winston-Salem State University

NBA Hall of Famer Earl "The Pearl" Monroe played for the legendary Head Coach
Clarence "Big House" Gaines at Winston-Salem State and helped his team win
the NCAA College Division Championship.
