Side-Out Foundation Exec to Address CIAA Volleyball Championship Crowd

Newport News, VA…The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association welcomes Nila Toribio-Straka as its keynote speaker for the 2011 CIAA Volleyball Championship Luncheon to be held at the Marriott Newport News at City Center on Thursday, November 3, 12:30pm.
Nila is the External Affairs Coordinator and Director of the
Southeast Region for the Side-Out Foundation, a breast cancer
organization that raises awareness and funds through the sport of
volleyball. The Foundation is a good fit for Toribio-Straka, as she
is also a five year breast cancer survivor, and blends her passion
for volleyball and her adversity with breast cancer to help in the
Foundation’s mission to make a significant and identifiable
difference.
As a part of the luncheon’s festivities, the Volleyball All-Conference and Rookie Teams, and Player of the Year honorees, will be formally recognized.
The Volleyball Championship Tournament will be held at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton, Virginia. (Intersection of Armistead Blvd and Hampton Center Roads Parkway)
