The Falcons broke a 2-2  tie in the bottom of the seventh as Rashad Ingram singled and stole second and third. As he swiped third, an errant throw by the WSSU catcher sailed into left field, allowing Ingram, the conference’s Player of the Year, to score.

Chowan 4, Virginia State 3

No. 1 seed Chowan (30-14) withstood No. 4 Virginia State, 4-3, behind a two RBI day by Justin Bagbey and a complete-game effort by John DesChamps to advance to the semifinals with Saint Augustine's College.
