2009 CIAA CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP

Entry: Entry forms must be submitted to the conference office no later than October 15, 2009
Men and Women teams are limited to a maximum of seven (7) runners in uniform for the championship. Teams are required to have official team uniforms. ID's will be required at the Championship site.
Course: Grass & Trails
Rules: The Cross Country Championship shall be conducted in accordance with the current NCAA Men's and Women's Cross Country Rules
The men's race will be five miles (8 kilometers) and the women's race will be three miles (5 kilometers)
Scoring: First place shall score one point; second place two points; third place three points and so on. All runners who finish the course shall be ranked and tallied up to the top (7) seven finishers from each team.
The score shall be determined by totaling the points of the first (7) seven runners of each team to finish. The team scoring the lowest number of points shall be the winner.
The sixth and seventh runners of each team to finish do not score points in their team total. Their place, if better than those of any of the five opposing team; serve to increase the team score of the opponents. If fewer than five finishes, the place finish of all members of the team should be disregarded.
